Wow, one whole week! (last VBS)

Wow, what a week this has been! It feels like we've been here quite a while! So much has been happening, God has really gone before us!

VBS at Iglesia Bautista Betania has just ended and we have completed our final planned VBS. I know that allot of seeds have been planted and bout a total of 400 kids have participated in both VBS sessions not to mention all the local youth group kids who have been able to serve along with us. Also, we shared at 5 more loaded schools. Kimberly estimated that we have shared the gospel with about 2000 kids in the time we've been here. Everything went smoother than we expected, and we were able to complete everything (only by the Lords strength) without collapsing from weariness. It has been really awesome and humbling seeing God turn our feeble, unqualified efforts into something that brings glory to His name! It is only by His power (God does the growing 1 cor 3:6) that these kids will come to know him. Please continue to pray for them.

Jeremy left us yesterday and took to the skies headed for the US. Praise the Lord, he made it back safely and we heard back from him as of today / yesterday. (to the J man himself) We miss you a ton and really appreciate all you have done. It was awesome serving with you!

As this next week begins, we will all have allot of unknowns in our schedule. The whole team will be splitting up tomorrow (ok, today) and staying at the different missionaries houses. Andruw and Seth will be staying with Kimberly and Edwin's house (about 2 mins from MEDA) while the girls will be staying here at MEDA with the Montoyas. I will be stationed 15 minutes away with the pastor (who only speaks spanish)of the church that we had our first VBS session at. It will be quite a challenge for me since I will not only need to pick up on the spanish really quickly but will also have far less contact with the other team members whom I have really grown close to.

We have a few things tentatively on the schedule (other than finding ways to serve the Lord) so far like sending Andruw and Seth journeying 3 hours into the jungle to preach to an isolated village only reachable via ATV. The girls also want to assist at one of the nearby medical clinics. The rest of the time we will be doing maintenance and helping with the youth camp (friday-sunday) planning.

It has been so amazing seeing God work here! His strength and faithfulness surpass any other! God is so good!

Prayer requests:
-Strength
that we would continue to rely and fall on the Lords strength not our own. That He would also strengthen us and give us rest and endurance. Also that we would stay healthy

-Communications
That we would be able to speak clearly God's words to the people here with and without a translator. The Spanish barrier has been quite a challenge and we could definitely need the Lords help in this.

-Listening
That we would all keep our eyes and ears open to where God is leading us in our service to Him. Also that we would continue to serve with right motives (out of love for Jesus and His people).
Praises:
-Seeds
For all the seeds God has planted here and the smoothness of all that has happened so far.

-Strength
It really has been stunning seeing the abundance of strength and love God shares with his people. He is sooo awesome!

thank you all so much for your prayers and support, I know the Lord is definitely not letting it go to waste!

praying for all of you!
In Christ,
-Wade
